admin My son had neurological damage ( long term from 6 weeks of Flagyl as a 3 year old.) Like falling all the time, no balance, vision damage, speech therapy needed for 4 years.
Never would have thought an antibiotic could do this until Cipro blew out my tendon behind my knee. Then the Diabetes Insipidus set in…mild. In 2007 I took a week of Flagyl,,, which kicked it all in bad. When I fell all the time, and I could not speak,,,I suddenly knew what had happened to my son!
I laughed when someone told me 3-5 years for recovery…well it has been 2 and 1/2. Hyperacusis,,,never knew what that was,,till a week of Flagyl.
I wish I had that case of diarrhea from Mexico back !

I think even wild animals, such as deers, tigers, birds, are much luckier than us. They can run, jump, fly, having normal lives. They have no bad docs and nasty drugs to disable them.
This guy had no business running to his Dr. just for a simple case of diarrhea. It was probably only common food poisoning that will only last a couple days. This is part of the problem….too many people run to their Dr’s at the first sign of any little sickness and
either get prescribed antibiotics, or they flat out ask for them. We
have to back off on the use of antibiotics People!!! Sometimes it’s
better to just ride out problem and let your body deal with it.
As far as giving ANY antibiotics to a 3 y/o child… it’s irresponsible and just asking for problems….especially if the child is given them for 6 WEEKS!! We have gone antibiotic crazy in this country and it has to stop.
I had a very bizarre reaction /experience with Flagyl in Nov 2009. None of my doctors would “talk about it” . It was as if I was falling apart. I already have the Fibromyalgia diagnosis and the Flagyl made every single part of my “weak body” debilitated. I still can’t fix my stuck shoulder. I have cognitive issues and this iste is pushing buttons. Can someone pls make contact w/ me b/c I need more links to this truth. I have recently had to go to an extreme and get an ombudsman just to get physical therapy for the damage on my shoulder, its neurological/muscle. this is extremely helpful.
Gary, you are absolutely right. But it was too late for me when I recognized the extreme danger of drugs and Docs.
FLAGYL IS POISION NEVER TAKE IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!! I was percribed it for a possible c diff infection ( which in retrospect I probably didn’t even have!) since taking it 4 months ago I have horrible issuses! Nerve damage seeing flashes of light eyes don’t work properly muscle twitches crawley feelings on my skin lost 30lbs and still losing weight despite eating as much as i can my stomach just doesnt process food anymore insomnia and crying spells!!! All of which were NEVER present be for this f**king poison! The man above is right I should have never gone to the doctor!!!! The irony is I never did before nor did I ever take any meds! I trusted my doctor and now I’m in a world of hurt I hope I can recover from this “RARE” reaction a’s the docs have put it.
